  1. Turn off the device

    1. Turn off your device before you start. To do this, press the power button until the power off icon appears.
    2. Confirm the icon then with a tap and follow the instructions on the screen.
  2. Remove sim card holder

    1. Remove the sim card holder with the designated sim tool.
  3. Remove the back cover

    You can use the iSclack for this step, which will make it much easier for you.

    Be careful not to work with too hot temperatures. You should be able to still touch the phone.

    1. Heat the back cover thoroughly with a hot air gun or hair dryer. When heating, concentrate on the edges and the camera element, i.e. where the adhesive is located.
    2. Once the back cover is properly warmed up, you can lift it with a suction cup and insert a plectrum into the resulting gap.
    3. Then you carefully lift off the back cover with the Plectrum to slowly loosen the adhesive more and more.

  4. Remove the middle cover

    • 16 × Phillips 3,7 mm
    • Finger Sensor Connector
    1. Lift off the plastic frame that surrounds the camera element.
    2. Then disconnect the fingerprint sensor that sits under this frame.
    3. Now you can remove the 16 Phillips screws to remove the middle cover. It is best to store the screws on a magnetic mat or in another suitable storage so that no screws get lost or mixed up.
    4. The middle cover is hooked to the display. Use a pick to loosen it from the screen support frame.
  5. Disconnect battery connector

    1. Now disconnect the battery connector with a non-metallic object like a spudger to avoid short circuits during the repair.
    2. Then unplug the connection cable, which is located above the battery.
  6. Remove the battery

    Now comes probably the most time-consuming step of the repair. Keep calm and proceed patiently, then you should come to the desired result

    1. Heat the battery slowly and evenly with a hot air gun or hair dryer.
    2. Then, try to loosen and pry it out carefully with the battery spudger. You can also use an iPlastix for this, it makes it easier to loosen the adhesive.

  7. Remove the antenna cables

    1. Disconnect the two antenna cables and lift them out of your device. Start with the blue one, then take out the white one.

  8. Remove the USB board

    1. Next, unplug the screen connector, that sits on the USB board.
    2. Then remove the screw with a Phillips screwdriver and place it on your magnetic mat.
    3. Now you can lift out the USB board. It is slightly glued - heat it gently to remove it.
  9. Remove the vibration motor

    1. The vibration motor is also slightly glued in place. After you have slightly heated it up, you can easily remove it with tweezers.
  10. Remove the front camera

    1. Now remove the front camera and put it aside.
  11. Remove the main board

    1. Remove the highlighted screw.
    2. Help the mainboard carefully with a spudger out.

  14. Insert the main board

    1. Now carefully put the mainbaord into its place in the new display.
    2. Fix it with the screw provided.
  15. Insert the front camera

    1. Insert the front camera.
    2. Connect the connector.
  16. Insert the vibration motor

    1. Insert the vibration motor into the new display and press it down gently.
  17. Insert the USB board

    • 1 × Phillips 2,4 mm

    1. Now put the USB board back in place and screw it back in place with the provided Phillips screw.
    2. Reconnect the highlighted connector.

    Make sure it snaps into place with a slight click.

  18. Insert both antenna cables

    1. First connect the white antenna cable to both corresponding plugs and push it back into the designated hollows.
    2. Then do the same with the blue antenna cable.

    The slots are labeled B for Blue and W for White .

  19. Insert the battery

    1. Insert the battery back into the display unit and gently press it into place. Make sure that it is positioned correctly in the center.
    2. Now you can reattach the connection cable that runs over the battery.

    1. Now reconnect the battery.
    2. Make sure that the battery connector noticeably clicks into place.
  21. Insert the middle cover

    • 16 × Phillips 3,7 mm
    • Finger Sensor Connector
    1. Now you can reconnect the middle cover to the display support frame. You will hear the hooks snap into place.
    2. Tighten the 16 screws again.
    3. Now put the connector of the fingerprint sensor back on and press the camera frame tight.
  22. Test the phone

    We now recommend testing the screen resp. the entire phone before you reattach the back cover. Turn on the phone and open the hidden test menu.

    1. Open the phone app and enter: *#0*#
    2. Then follow the instructions of the test menu.
    3. Also connect a charging cable once and check if your phone can be charged.
  23. Put on the back cover

    It may also be necessary to use a new adhesive frame. This can be easily applied thanks to the template..

    1. Does everything work properly? Great! Then it’s time to put the back cover back on. Heat the adhesive of the back cover evenly with a hot air gun.
    2. Put the Backcover back on and press it down tightly.
