23 steps
  1. Turning off your Device

iPhone 6 Plus - Turning off your Device 02
    1. Turn your iPhone off completely to avoid damaging it during the repair. Press the standby button for about three seconds until the slider appears.
    2. Wipe it from left to right. Now your iPhone will shut down completely, which can take about ten seconds.
  2. Removing the enclosure screws

iPhone 6 Plus - Removing the enclosure screws 01
iPhone 6 Plus - Removing the enclosure screws 02
    1. You need a pentalobe screwdriver to open the iPhone 6 Plus.
    2. Remove the two pentalobe screws at the bottom of the enclosure. They are located to the right and left of the Lightning connector. Put the screws in the same container.
      2 x 3.8 mm pentalobe screw
  3. Lifting the display

iPhone 6 Plus - Lifting the display 01
iPhone 6 Plus - Lifting the display 02
iPhone 6 Plus - Lifting the display 03
    1. Put your iPhone 6 Plus on a soft, clean surface to avoid scratching the back.
    2. To lift the front panel, you need a suction cup and a hard plastic pick. If the screen is severely cracked, cover all of it with packing tape before you continue.
    3. Place the suction cup over the Home button (if possible) or next to it (see figure 1). While lifting the screen with the suction cup, insert the hard plastic pick between the aluminum frame and the display frame and press down the aluminum frame. Also use the hard plastic pick to raise the screen (see figure 2). This usually takes several attempts.
    4. As soon as you can lift the screen a few millimeters, you have to carefully work your way around the outside until it’s loosened on both sides (see figure 3).
  4. Disconnecting the battery connector

iPhone 6 Plus - Disconnecting the battery connector 01
iPhone 6 Plus - Disconnecting the battery connector 02
iPhone 6 Plus - Disconnecting the battery connector 03
    1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the Phillips screws on the battery connector (see figure 1). Then lift the cover (see figure 2). Put all the parts in the same container.
      1 x 3.2 mm Phillips screw
      1 x 2.3 mm Phillips screw
    2. Now carefully lift the battery connector by inserting the pointed tip of the ESD spudger slightly below the connector (see figure 3). If you don’t have a spudger, you can also try using your fingernail.
  5. Disconnecting the connectors

iPhone 6 Plus - Disconnecting the connectors 01
iPhone 6 Plus - Disconnecting the connectors 02
    1. First remove the five Phillips screws from the silver cover (see figure 1). Put the screws in the same container. Then lift the cover to remove it.
      1 x 1.6 mm Phillips screw
      3 x 1.2 mm Phillips screw
      1 x 2.9 mm Phillips screw
    2. Disconnect the following four overlapping connectors (see figure 2) in the order shown below. Be very careful. Place the pointed tip of the spudger very slightly below the contact and lift it up.
      Front camera/sensor/earpiece/ambient microphone
      Touch ID cable
      LCD
      Touchscreen

    2. Carefully disconnect the little antenna connector using the spudger (see figures 2 and 3).
    3. Now carefully move the vibration motor to the side. Pay close attention to the antenna cable routed in the little silver rail along the speaker (see figure 4).
    4. Now turn the vibration motor so you’re looking at the bottom of it. Now you can remove the antenna cable from the little bracket (see figure 5).
    5. Then you can remove the vibration motor.
  7. Disconnecting the ribbon cable

iPhone 6 Plus - Disconnecting the ribbon cable 01

    1. Using the spudger, carefully disconnect the lower oblong connector for the Lightning connector (see figure 1).

  12. Removing the Lightning connector

    1. First remove the little black plastic bracket (see figure 1). Then carefully detach the microphone using the laboratory spatula or the spudger (see figure 2).
    2. Insert the spudger or laboratory spatula below the ribbon cable and carefully detach it from the base (see figure 3). The cable is only glued in place at the point where the speaker was. Now carefully continue detaching the cable from the base (see figures 4 and 5).
    3. Then use tweezers to lift the cable slightly above the battery so you can loosen the ports for the Lightning connector and headphones (see figure 6). If necessary, use the spatula or tweezers (see figure 7).
    4. Now you can remove the entire ribbon cable (see figure 8).
