Removing the SIM and microSD cards

1. The SIM card slot is hidden under a cover on the left side of the Xperia Z2. Open the cover with your fingernail or a flat, pointed tool like the steel laboratory spatula. Wedge your finger or the tool under the upper edge of the cover and use a little force to pull it away from the device.
2. The cover can rotate 360°. Open it so you can easily remove the SIM card tray. There’s a little tab on the tray that you can pull with your fingernail or a pair of tweezers.
3. The microSD card is also under a cover, this time on the right side of the Xperia Z2. Open the cover like you did for the SIM card.
4. Remove the microSD card. There’s an indentation in the card that you can pull with your fingernail or the tweezers.
5. Close both covers again to make the next steps easier.
