    1. The glass back cover is glued to the chassis. Remove the back cover by putting on a suction cup and pulling on it. Also use a pick to push against the frame. Heat your device with hot air beforehand so the glue will be easier to detach.
    2. As soon as a gap appears between the back cover and the chassis, you can insert the pick between the two parts.
    3. The back cover is painted on the inside. Remove any adhesive residue carefully to avoid scratches or cracks.

    4. Use more picks to disconnect all the corners one after the other.
    5. Remove the back cover as soon as all the glue is detached.

    4. Open the phone app and dial *#0*#
    5. Check the touch screen and the colors "red", "green", "blue" to make sure your display has no pixel errors and that all areas respond to touch.
    6. Press and hold the power button to switch off your device.
    7. First disconnect the battery and then disconnect the display.
  10. Remove the display

    Galaxy S7 - Remove the display 06
    1. The display of the Samsung Galaxy S7 is firmly bonded with adhesive. Heat the display with a heat gun (or hairdryer) to soften the adhesive and remove the display. Then slide a tool like the iFlex or iSesamo into the gap between the frame and the display to loosen the adhesive.
    2. Start at the top half, because the home button and the navigation buttons must be handled very carefully.
    3. Use the suction cup to lift the display and press the frame down with your tool to make a gap. Then slide the tool into the gap.
    4. Loosen the adhesive all around and insert flat plastic picks into the gap to prevent the display from re-attaching to the frame.
Insert the tool only 2 mm at the position of the home button and the navigation buttons. The navigation buttons are glued to the back of the display and can tear off, if the pick is inserted too deep.
    1. Try to remove the glass and the display together. Be careful, the display may break. Slowly heat all difficult spots one by one.
    2. Now carefully lift the display and fold it open at the home button. Before removing the display completely, check if the navigation buttons are separated from the display.

If the frame loosens around the home button and sticks to the glass screen, you can heat it a little, lift it off and stick it back to the frame around the home button.

  11. Prepare the frame and apply adhesive

Galaxy S7 - Prepare the frame and apply adhesive 05

Before installing and re-gluing the display, you need to prepare the frame.

    1. Remove all residue of the defective display. Use the tweezers to carefully remove any remaining glass fragments.
    2. Run a tool along the edge of the frame to gradually remove as much adhesive residue as possible.
    3. Install the new frame sticker to the device smoothly and without wrinkles. Slide your finger over all surfaces to remove any bumps.

Make sure the frame sticker is aligned correctly. Look at the holes for the camera, home button and the navigation buttons to see where top, bottom, front and back are.

    1. Remove the protective film and carefully start attaching the frame sticker from the top center position. Make sure the frame sticker is not tilted.
    2. Let the frame sticker slide into the device slowly, then check the alignment again.
    3. Press the frame sticker down firmly all around and then remove the second protective film.

Make sure that the adhesive does not peel off with the protective film or becomes wrinkly. The sticker should not come out at the edges of the frame. Otherwise it stays visible when the display is installed.

  12. Install the display

    Galaxy S7 - Install the display 01
    Galaxy S7 - Install the display 02
    1. Lead the flex cable with the connector through the opening of the metal frame.
    2. Position the display on the frame. Use the earpiece and the home button for orientation.
    3. Make sure that no adhesive sticks out and then gradually stick the display to the frame.
    4. Press the display down firmly, so the adhesive can bond.
  13. Connect the display

    Galaxy S7 - Connect the display 01
    Galaxy S7 - Connect the display 02

    Connect the display connector.

    1. Put the speaker at the lower end of the enclosure.
    2. Press on the speaker with your fingers until it clicks into place in the enclosure.
  16. Installing the middle antenna

    1. Put the antenna back in the enclosure after hooking it onto the lower antenna.

    1. Put the back cover back in its original position.
    2. Press the back cover on all over so the glue will stick.
    3. You can also heat your device with hot air and then clamp it or weight it down with a couple books so the glue will stick better.
