Switch off device
Turn off your device by holding down the power button until the “Power off” option appears.
Use your finger to confirm that you want to shut down your OnePlus 2 and wait until the screen goes blank.
Removing the back cover
Insert a thin, flat, tapered spudger into the gap at the corner of your smartphone. There are several clips on the outside under the back cover. You have to disconnect them by moving the spudger around the entire smartphone one time. Alternatively, you can detach the back cover using your fingernails.
Then you can take off the back cover.
Removing the SIM card tray
You can use the SIM Tool or a paperclip to remove the SIM card tray. Press the SIM Tool into the small hole in the SIM card tray to remove it.
Removing the plastic cover

Remove all 18 Phillips screws that hold the plastic cover in place.
6 Phillips screws are hidden under a rubber cover. Use a sharp object to lift out the cover.
Lift out the logic board cover. Carefully insert the pointed tip of the ESD spudger and lift the black cover. Also pry it out at other points.
Removing the battery
If your OnePlus 2 is still on, turn it off now by holding down the standby button for about three seconds and following the prompt on the display.

Now you can detach the battery connector. Be very careful. Place the pointed tip of the spudger very slightly below the contact and carefully lift it up. The pictures show where you should put the spudger to avoid breaking off the little resistors even if it slips.
The battery is slightly glued to the cover. You can warm it, ot remove it more easily.

Now lift the battery with the spudger and then remove it.

Disconnecting the dock and speaker cable
Disconnect the dock connector and the display button cable.
Make sure you don’t break off the resistors/coils that are soldered onto the logic board.Pry the dock connector from the outside

Pull the flat cable off with metal spatula. The cable is sightly glued. Use the spatual to detach the glue.
Installing the dock connector and speaker cables
Now put the dock connector and speaker cables back in their original positions.
The dock connector cable just goes on the speaker cable where the old glue holds it in place.
Installing the battery
Put the battery back in and connect it.
Attaching the plastic cover

Now put the cover back on.
Then fasten all the Phillips screws again.
Don’t forget to put the little rubber plugs back in.

It’s very easy to put the back cover back on. Put it on in the correct position and press it on all the way around the phone until it’s completely clicked into place.
